1. Data Collection

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or physical address. Your gameplay experience is anonymous.

Voluntary Feedback: If you choose to submit feedback through our in-game "Feedback" menu button, we collect the star rating you select, your optional comments, and a timestamp. This data is securely stored in a Google Sheet via a lightweight Google Apps Script. No IP addresses, device IDs, or other personal data are collected during feedback submission.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our game and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier.

We use the following types of cookies:

• Necessary Cookies: Essential for the game to function (e.g., storing your session preference).
• Analytics Cookies: Specifically from Google Analytics 4, used to understand how users interact with the game.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, some parts of our game may not function optimally.

3. Local Storage

To provide a consistent experience, the game uses your browser's Local Storage to save your high scores, current board state, and settings (such as Dark Mode). This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

4. Advertising

We do not currently display any advertisements. We reserve the right to introduce advertising in the future, at which point this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly before any ads are served.

5. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to gather anonymous usage statistics to improve the game feel and performance. This includes data such as:

• Game events (e.g., reaching the 2048 tile, Game Over).
• Device type and browser information.
• Approximate geographic location (Region/City level).

You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have certain data protection rights:

• Right to Access/Delete: Since we do not store personal data on our servers, your data is primarily held in your own browser's Local Storage, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings.
• Do Not Sell My Info: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

2048 Clean does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
